Writing Opportunities for Social Change Workers
Op-Ed:
An opinion piece concentrated on the areas of radical practice, collective action, social justice, or legislation related to social welfare practice.
Requirements: 750-1000 word count
Bibliographies/Resource Lists:
Choose and research a topic of interest regarding radical practice, collective action, social justice, or legislation related to social welfare practice.
Requirements: List must contain a minimum of 15 resources and should be cited in APA format. The issue must be addressed and introduced on the first page of the list.
Sharing Your Story:
Write about your organizing experiences within your community in the area of radical practice. Analysis-based pieces are preferred. This may include assessments on how to work with affected groups.
Requirements: 750-1000 word count
Teaching Resources:
Submissions may include class activities or assignments about radical practice, collective action, social justice, or legislation related to social welfare practice.
Requirements: Teaching resources must include a description of the activity or assignment and its relevance to radical practice, and how it might be incorporated within academic curricula.
